Usually my local tennis club is a nice and peaceful place to relax and watch a game of tennis. However, last week this was definitely not the case as I saw one game turn ugly and nearly end in punches being thrown. It was no different to a lot of games since it was close and competitive, but it started getting nasty when one player said to the other ‘Even the best tennis racket in the world couldn’t help you beat me,’ which infuriated the other player and resulted in a very lengthy exchange of words and the players shoving each other before other people intervened. While it wasn’t peaceful, it certainly was an entertaining afternoon at my local tennis club.
