I was put in touch with a turangi fishing guide by a mate of mine who had been out on a tour with him before and reckoned he was really good and knew all of the great spots to go. I gave the guy a call and had a bit of a chat about it and we arranged for me to head down there on the Thursday and spend the day. My mate was definitely right about him knowing all the great spots, some of the places we went to were just loaded with fish and there was no one else in sight, it was just awesome. He also gave me lots of good pointers about my technique which helped a lot.
