During the summer months, our coaches created basketball workouts to keep us in shape and conditioned for the regular season. We would do various things that included running and working on plays, among other things. I remember one time I could not find a ride to practice, so I rode my bike. It was a few miles and I barely made it in time. I was already tired when I showed up for our two hour practice that included running on a ninety degree day. I was thankful for my teammate who put my bike in her trunk and drove me home that day.
